Overview

Arm is seeking a

Sales and Business Development Director

for Robotics to drive strategic engagement, business development, and long-term partnerships across the robotics market. This role focuses on expanding Arm’s footprint across autonomous robots, industrial robotics, humanoids, mobile robots, and AI-enabled robotic platforms by working closely with robotics OEMs. This is a senior individual contributor role requiring deep market understanding, strong technical fluency, and the ability to influence roadmap alignment across hardware, software, and AI stacks. You will operate at the intersection of strategy, technology, and partnerships, helping position Arm as the foundational architecture for next-generation robotic systems. Responsibilities

Robotics Market Development:

Develop and execute a business development strategy focused on robotics markets, including logistics robotics, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), humanoids, service robots, and emerging AI-driven robotic applications. Strategic Partner Engagement:

Build and manage senior-level relationships with robotics OEMs, startups, silicon partners, and ecosystem players. Act as a trusted advisor, aligning Arm’s technology capabilities with partner product and platform strategies. Ecosystem & Platform Expansion:

Drive adoption of Arm-based solutions across robotic compute platforms, including CPUs, AI accelerators, sensor fusion, real-time control, functional safety and edge AI workloads. Enable ecosystem growth through joint initiatives, reference designs, and strategic collaborations. Cross-Functional Influence:

Work closely with Arm’s Physical-AI Business Unit, ecosystem, and marketing teams to represent robotics market requirements, influence roadmap priorities and market activities. Translate partner needs into actionable internal insights. Value Proposition & Thought Leadership:

Clearly articulate Arm’s differentiated value in robotics, including AI capability, performance-per-watt, scalability, safety, security, real-time capabilities, and software ecosystem enablement. Represent Arm in strategic discussions, industry forums, and key partner engagements. Opportunity Identification & Execution:

Identify new opportunities for growth, including emerging robotics segments, new business models, and next-generation architectures. Drive deal shaping, negotiations, and long-term partnership structures. Market & Competitive Intelligence:

Continuously track robotics technology trends, competitive dynamics, and customer requirements. Use insights to refine strategy, positioning, and partnership priorities. Required Skills and Experience

Business Development Experience:

Proven success in business development and sales, strategic partnerships within robotics, semiconductors, AI, or adjacent technology markets. Robotics Domain Expertise:

Strong understanding of robotics systems, including autonomy stacks, perception, AI inference, real-time control, functional safety, sensor integration, and computing architectures. Ecosystem Knowledge:

Familiarity or working directly with robotics OEMs, startups, integrators, autonomous systems companies, or AI-enabled edge platforms. Technical Fluency:

Ability to engage credibly with engineering teams while translating technical concepts into strategic and commercial outcomes. Strategic Mindset:

Demonstrated ability to operate independently, manage complex engagements, and influence outcomes without direct authority. Communication Skills:

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage senior technical and business stakeholders. Education:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Salary Range
