Role Summary
Patient Solution Insights & Analytics, part of Pfizer Patient Services (PPS), harnesses the power of data to drive robust analytics and insight development that informs Pfizer's most critical business questions. Director, Data Governance & Insights Enablement This senior leadership role within PPS Insights & Analytics is accountable for establishing and sustaining a robust data governance foundation that enables trusted, compliant, and decision‑ready patient services analytics across the enterprise.
Role Responsibilities This role serves as the central owner of PPS data governance, including metric definitions, business rules, data quality controls, access guardrails, and cross‑enterprise alignment with Digital, Legal, Compliance, and external data partners. The Director will address current fragmentation in data ownership, inconsistent measurement across brands, and manual data remediation by building scalable governance processes that support standardized reporting, advanced analytics, and end‑to‑end patient journey measurement.
Enterprise Data Governance Leadership
Establish and operationalize a formal PPS data governance framework, defining clear ownership, stewardship, and decision rights across data domains, brands, and business units.
Own and maintain standardized business rules, metric definitions, and KPI frameworks to ensure consistency of patient services measurement across Specialty Care, Oncology, and Primary Care.
Serve as the single point of accountability for PPS data governance decisions, escalation paths, and governance forums.
Data Quality, Controls & Compliance
Define and enforce data quality standards, validation rules, and QC processes to prevent data integrity issues.
Partner with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and Digital to establish clear data access guardrails, usage policies, and approval workflows.
Lead development of SOPs and training related to data access, reporting, and analytics.
Data Architecture & Aggregation Enablement
Partner with Digital and data architecture teams to support a fit‑for‑purpose data aggregation and reporting ecosystem.
Guide governance requirements for vendor platforms, data feeds, and analytics solutions.
Reduce manual data cleansing through upstream standardization and automation.
Vendor & External Partner Oversight
Define governance expectations for external data partners and vendors.
Evaluate vendor data quality, adherence to business rules, and delivery against governance standards.
Support RFPs, contract language, and SLAs related to data quality and transparency.
Insights Enablement & Leadership Partnership
Partner with PPS Insights & Analytics leaders to ensure governance enables timely insight generation.
Support leadership discussions by clarifying metric meaning, interpretation, and limitations.
Maintain comprehensive, detailed data governance standards to ensure consistency and clarity in program metrics and business rule implementation.
Proactively work across the enterprise to push novel analytic methodologies, co‑create solutions, and oversee implementation.
Identify efficiencies and future‑forward ways to accelerate the timeliness of analytics and insights delivery.
Work with and empower a high‑performing team of insights professionals responsible for delivering integrated insights, program measurement analytics, reporting, and launch support for each BU.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
8+ years’ experience in biopharma, analytics, strategic consulting, business, or related areas.
Experience with the pharma ecosystem and datasets including physician‑level prescribing, institutional sales data, payer‑prescriber‑level data, formulary data, rebates, Symphony claims, and Copay claims.
Prior experience with the operational monitoring and impact assessment of patient services programs, including Affordability Programs (e.g., Copay, eVoucher), Field Access Support, Hub/Prior Authorization Support, and Pharmacy/Distribution workflows.
Demonstrated analytical capabilities, critical thinking skills, strong project‑management and organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.
Demonstrated expertise in data governance, business rules, and data quality management.

Salary & Benefits The annual base salary ranges from $176,600 to $294,300. The position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and participation in a share‑based long‑term incentive program. Comprehensive benefits include a 401(k) plan with Pfizer matching contributions, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage.
