About the role
The Group Sales Specialist is responsible for driving revenue growth with a primary focus on corporate, incentive, and convention business, including regional group sales, events, leisure groups, and full‑venue buyouts. This role owns the end‑to‑end execution of assigned group business—from lead capture and inquiry response through booking, execution, and post‑event recapture—while working closely with the Sales & Marketing Manager on strategy, prioritization, and pipeline development.
Serving as the primary point of contact for group and corporate clients, the Group Sales Specialist acts as a key liaison between Sales, Operations, and cross‑functional teams to deliver seamless, high‑quality group experiences that drive repeat business and long‑term partnerships.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days in office. The wage for this role is $58k‑$63k USD/annually and a full breakdown of perks and benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
What you’ll do Sales, Lead Capture & Business Development
Support the Sales & Marketing Manager in executing lead capture strategies across inbound and outbound channels
Respond promptly and professionally to group sales enquiries via phone and email
Attend and represent the brand at trade shows, conventions, and industry events targeting corporate, meeting, and incentive group markets
Conduct site inspections and host client visits to showcase group offerings, event spaces, and guest experiences
Perform post‑event and post‑trade‑show follow‑up to convert leads into confirmed bookings
Qualify leads and assess customer needs to recommend appropriate group packages and experiences
Own assigned group business and remain accountable for achieving individual sales targets, including enquiry response time, conversion rates, and group revenue contribution
Assist the Manager with affiliate sales strategy, business development efforts, and partnership initiatives.
Quoting, Booking & Revenue Management
Prepare and present customized group quotes, proposals, and event packages
Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings by securing deposits and full payments
Create, modify, and manage group reservations within internal booking and CRM systems
Upsell and cross‑sell enhancements to maximize per‑group revenue
Support the preparation and response to group RFPs, proposals, and contracting documentation in alignment with company policies
Client Relationship Management (Grow & Retain)
Build strong relationships with group organizers, planners, and decision‑makers to encourage repeat business
Implement recapture strategies, including follow‑up communications, rebooking incentives, and post‑event outreach
Maintain accurate client profiles and sales notes to support long‑term account growth
Conduct post‑event follow‑up and feedback collection to identify opportunities for service improvement, repeat business, and future bookings
Event Coordination & Onsite Support
Act as the primary liaison between group clients and Operations before and during events, as required
Communicate event details, schedules, and special requirements to internal teams
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Finance to ensure aligned execution and consistent guest communication
Provide onsite support for group events as needed to ensure smooth execution and high guest satisfaction
Resolve issues quickly and professionally to protect the guest experience
Administrative & Reporting
Maintain accurate sales records, contracts, and payment documentation
Track group sales performance, conversion rates, trade show outcomes, and repeat business
Ensure accurate and timely updates in CRM and booking systems to support pipeline visibility, forecasting, and long‑term client retention
Provide insights and feedback to management on group trends, opportunities, and process improvements
Ideal Experience & Qualifications
2+ years of experience in group sales, hospitality sales, event sales, or a related guest‑facing role
Strong sales acumen with experience managing bookings from enquiry to execution
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple group bookings simultaneously
Highly customer‑focused with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences
Comfortable handling payments, contracts, and working with CRM, reservation, and booking systems
Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, peak seasons, and occasional travel for trade shows or industry events
Preferred
Experience in attractions, entertainment, hospitality, or venue‑based group sales
Familiarity with CRM and reservation systems
Experience coordinating cross‑functionally with operations or event teams
Knowledge of the Las Vegas regional, corporate, and incentive group market
