Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney (Commercial Real Estate / Lending) – 3–5 Years
Locations: Chicago, IL; New York, NY
Compensation: $235,000 – $310,000
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in office)
Bar Admission: Active NY or IL Bar required
About the Opportunity We are working with a law firm seeking a Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney to handle lending transactions and commercial real estate finance work with institutional clients.
Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate loan and financing documents
Work on commercial real estate lending transactions
Manage deal processes and closings
Collaborate with lenders and borrowers
Qualifications
Licensed attorney (JD required) with an active NY or IL Bar
3–5 years of real estate finance experience
Experience with lending and financing transactions
Strong drafting and negotiation skills
Strong academic background
Experience at a law firm (AmLaw preferred)
This role is not suitable for general real estate attorneys without finance experience, litigators, or candidates without transactional experience.
