
Associate Director of Finance (FQHC)

POSITION OVERVIEW
Associate Director of Finance – a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing financial operations, budgeting, contract compliance, and reporting within a complex, grant‑funded setting. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will manage a finance team and serve as a strategic partner to internal program leaders to ensure fiscal integrity, regulatory compliance, and timely financial deliverables.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the annual operating budget process and monitor financial performance across programs, including variance analysis
Oversee contract fulfillment, grant compliance, and preparation of financial reports and required funding deliverables
Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals to ensure accurate and timely reporting, invoicing, and claims submission
Partner with program leadership to strengthen fiscal accountability and support effective funding utilization
Assist in establishing and maintaining policies and procedures aligned with GAAP and applicable federal cost principles
Represent the Finance function in communications with funders, auditors, and external stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS
Direct experience in an FQHC, community health center, or federally funded clinic setting required
Hands‑on experience with
HRSA funding, Section 330 programs, or similar federally qualified health environments
Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and federal grant compliance frameworks
Demonstrated experience
managing grants, contracts, and regulated funding sources
Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position offers a salary range of
$130,000–$140,000 , along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan options, and paid time off.
