POSITION SUMMARY:
The
Vice President, Real Estate, Facilities Management, & Construction
is responsible for overseeing the organization’s real estate portfolio, construction projects, and facilities management. This role plays a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to optimize the organization’s real estate assets, manage construction initiatives, and ensure efficient and effective operations of facilities. The VP will lead a team and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to drive the successful execution of real estate, construction, and facilities management initiatives.
Responsibilities
Develops and executes the organization’s real estate strategy, including identifying opportunities for acquisition, disposition, monetization, and leasing.
Oversees the full real estate portfolio, ensuring optimal utilization of assets and effective management of leases, acquisitions, dispositions, and sale‑leasebacks.
Serves as the primary liaison with the REIT investor, coordinating asset strategy and performance.
Negotiates major real estate agreements, including leases, purchase contracts, and related documents to secure favorable terms.
Maintains an accurate inventory of all owned and leased properties, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry requirements.
Provides strategic oversight of facilities management, including maintenance, repairs, and capital improvements to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Develops and enforces facilities management policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, risk, and insurance standards.
Collaborates with operational leaders to assess infrastructure needs, optimize space utilization, and support efficient facility operations.
Establishes and monitors KPIs and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in real estate and facilities operations.
Manages vendor and contractor relationships, including evaluations, contract negotiations, and performance oversight to ensure quality and cost‑effectiveness.
Leads planning and design for construction, expansion, and renovation projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and compliance requirements.
Oversees development of project scopes, budgets, and construction documents, collaborating with architects, engineers, and consultants and promoting sustainable, energy‑efficient design practices.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years experience in property management, property management, planning and design, and construction, with a proven track record of successfully overseeing complex projects.
Master’s degree, preferred.
Healthcare experience, strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong knowledge of real estate principles, market trends, and financial analysis.
Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and motivate high‑performing teams.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
