Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) seeks an enthusiastic, dedicated, and mission‑aligned Salesforce Administrator for the Research and Evaluation Department. The Salesforce Administrator will bring a passion for HCZ’s mission to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty with comprehensive programming that builds up opportunities for children and families to thrive in school, work, and life. This role joins our Data Science team within the Research and Evaluation Department, reporting to the Director of Data Science.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a relevant combination of education and practical experience.

1+ year of work experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector, or completion of the Admin Beginner and Intermediate Trail on Trailhead.

Salesforce Administrator certification.

Who You Are

Strong understanding of Salesforce Administration best practices.

Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, flows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity.

Experience with the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), Education Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and Analytics Cloud.

Experience with data migration and data management tools (e.g., Demand Tools).

Ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong data management abilities.

Active Trailhead learner.

What You’ll Do

Serve as the primary system administrator for HCZ Salesforce users.

Handle all basic administrative functions, including user account maintenance, reports, dashboards, flows, and other routine tasks.

Implement and enforce data quality best practices, including data cleaning and deduplication, to ensure accurate and reliable data within the Salesforce platform.

Document key policies, procedures, best practices, and use cases specific to the organization.

Coordinate the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests.

Perform data uploads from primary or secondary data sources and maintain data integrity.

Assist in training power users and grow the Salesforce skill set across all departments.

Monitor and manage Salesforce integrations with other data systems.

Design automated processes to improve efficiency with scale and lean design.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM.

Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.

Salary range: $80,000 – $85,000 per year. Harlem Children’s Zone is not able to provide employment visa sponsorship for this position.
