Property Partnerships AE
Story Terrace Inc., Chicago, IL, United States
The Opportunity
We’re expanding across North America and a big part of that comes down to getting the right property partners in place. Every new university we launch needs supply. Good supply. That’s what this role is focused on.
Why This Role Is Interesting There isn’t a neat, finished playbook here. A lot of what you’ll be doing is figuring things out as we go. New markets, new operators, different dynamics in each city.
You’ll have the space to approach things in your own way, as long as you’re moving deals forward. The work also matters. The partners you bring on aren’t just numbers, they directly impact whether a market works or not.
If you enjoy being close to deals and having real ownership, without moving into management, this tends to suit.
What You’ll Own
Building your own pipeline into property operators across new university markets
Running deals end to end, from first outreach through to close
Speaking with a mix of people, from on-site teams through to senior decision makers
Signing partners that actually make a difference to how well a market launches
Working with leadership on where to focus and which accounts matter most
Handling more involved deals, including commercial terms and longer agreements
Feeding back what you’re seeing in the market so we can improve how we approach things
Working closely with GTM, marketing and customer teams to make sure partners land well
What Good Looks Like In You
You’ve sold into property, student housing, real estate or something similar in the US or Canada
You’re used to owning the full deal, not just one part of it
You’re comfortable keeping momentum in deals with multiple stakeholders involved
You’re commercially aware and can handle negotiation without overcomplicating things
You’re proactive when it comes to building pipeline
You communicate clearly and can build trust with different types of people
You’re comfortable when things aren’t fully defined and can work things out as you go
This Role Is Not For You If
You’re looking to move into management in the short term
You prefer a role where everything is already mapped out
You rely heavily on inbound and existing pipeline
You’d rather focus on one part of the sales cycle than own the full thing
⛳️ What we offer
