Financial Management Subject Matter Expert – Space Systems Command
Overview
Tecolote is hiring a Financial Management Subject Matter Expert with a minimum Top-Secret Clearance to support the Space Systems Command, Assured Access to Space organization. The candidate will directly support the Assured Access to Space Chief Financial Officer by providing strategic vision, analysis, and recommendations to address the rapidly changing Space Force and National Security Space Launch program requirements.
Responsibilities
Support the development of documentation for the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBES) and Budget reviews.
Assist the Program Office and the PEMs in assessing budget impacts, developing alternatives, and implementing results for Congressional, OSD, and Space Force program decisions pertaining to SSC AATS.
Analyze executive-level budget and execution decision-making and management processes and relationships across the portfolio.
Identify roadblocks, mitigation strategies, and changes needed to evolve the organizational structure to support the evolving Space Force vision.
Identify technology tools and digital environment needs that will aid in effective transformation to implement the AATS strategic vision.
Skills Required
Minimum of 20 years of Program/Acquisition Management experience in the DoD/Space Force environment.
Program Element Monitor (PEM) experience at the Pentagon.
Launch and Range acquisition and execution experience is highly desired.
Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, i.e., MS Outlook, MS Teams, Zoom, PowerBI, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Excellent communication, quantitative, and analytical skills.
Applicant must be able to work in a team environment.
Strong knowledge of the DoD financial, acquisition, operational, and project management processes and policies.
Master’s degree in math, Business/Economics, finance, accounting, engineering, or statistics, PMT401/402 or equivalent highly desired.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
Location & Salary Location: Santa Monica, CA
Salary: $155,000.00 – $170,000.00 per year
