This is a senior IT leadership role with overall accountability for the technical delivery capability within Brinks Company including Architecture, Data Management, Data Science, Analytics Management and IT Innovation. This role will translate and guide execution of business strategy to achieve the organization’s targeted business outcomes by leading the development of an implementation roadmap for the enterprise architecture. Based on an enterprise architecture framework, this role will provide direction for solution design, prototyping, configuration and software engineering. This role owns and governs the technology architecture roadmap of the enterprise ensuring it is re-usable, scalable and cost conscious whilst meeting the needs of the business and ensuring alignment with the defined value streams and underlying products. The role holder will develop and own a ‘rule book’ which defines ‘must-do’s’ for all autonomous agile teams, as well as projects, and drives technology and partner selection. As such, the role provides strategic direction to the enterprise on both product and sourcing decisions. Key Responsibilities
Outline the Global target state architecture and by region and trigger long-term planning Drive the evolution of the EA teams services and operating model Coach and mentor other architects, product owners/managers and business stakeholders to instill architectural thinking Analyze trends and disruptions, and assess their impact on targeted business outcomes Own the data & analytics and innovation strategy for the enterprise and design, build and govern the data capability to create an insights-driven organization Run architecture governance board to enable a CICD mindset Partner with VPs and regional leaders to streamline technology deployment, optimize time to market and minimize failure rates of new releases Accountabilities
Technology Strategy and Enterprise Architecture
Enterprise Architecture : develop and maintain an enterprise architecture framework aligned with Brinks BBS Strategy, Global IT and Digital Strategy Solution Architecture and Technology Roadmaps : develop technology roadmaps and design solutions to achieve roadmap goals Rule Book : develop and maintain an architecture rule book and ensure implementation in projects with partners and agile teams Infrastructure and Security : support architectural requirements for Infrastructure and Information Security & Compliance Lead : lead a team of senior architects, software engineers and data engineers; facilitate transition to DevOps for CICD Collaborate : work with senior leaders and stakeholders to implement the architecture rule book Emerging technology : identify trends and innovations to balance value creation with cost optimization Own : own the Technology Strategy and data & analytics roadmap using modern practices Orchestrates the Delivery of Business Outcomes
Develops the Business Architecture at the intersection of business and IT to translate and execute strategy Collaborates with business leaders to identify drivers and outcomes Creates diagnostic and action-oriented deliverables to guide investments Aligns business and IT by analyzing future-state capabilities and identifying gaps and opportunities Defines resources, structures and cultural changes needed to support EA Works with CIO and IT leaders to design an efficient operating model and federated initiatives as needed Ensures EA resources are empowered and committed to business-IT integration Connects Strategy to Execution
Facilitates business-IT alignment through collaboration to balance innovation and growth Guides execution of business strategy via an enterprise architecture roadmap Provides options and visibility into execution issues Supports Portfolio Modernization and Develops Roadmaps
Maintain alignment and coordination of architecture activities across programs, projects and products Present gap analyses and IT investment roadmaps for future-state capabilities Lead analysis of IT environment to identify deficiencies and solutions Develop implementation plans for EA based on business requirements and IT strategies Supports Solutions Design and Delivery
Maintain alignment of architecture activities across programs and products Present gap analyses and IT investment roadmaps for future-state capabilities Lead analysis of IT environment to identify deficiencies and solutions Lead development of implementation plans for the enterprise architecture Collect, analyze, review and refine innovations, trends, disruptions, opportunities or ideas Assess disruptive forces and identify technology-enabled opportunities aligned with business strategy Contextualize trends across technological, political, economic, social, ethical, regulatory and environmental factors Scout emerging technologies and opportunities to support strategic decision making Provide practical advice and best practices to exploit new opportunities and deliver outcomes Develop, track and manage execution of innovations, trends, disruptions, opportunities or ideas Data & Analytics Management
Accountable for the data and analytics strategy and roadmap enabling data as an enterprise asset Develop a data sourcing strategy from internal and external sources to enable the enterprise digital strategy Oversee design and development of data & analytics infrastructure for enterprise-wide analytics and insights Lead policy development for data & analytics management and governance Credentials and Experience
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience Eight or more years in strategic planning and/or enterprise architecture consulting 8+ years of experience across multiple disciplines such as business, information, solutions, technical architecture, development, middleware, data analysis or operations Seniority level
