Pay:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $55,000-$63,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant work experience, the skills required for the role, internal equity, market competitiveness, and budget considerations. Job Summary Under immediate supervision of the Senior Director of Marketing, the Senior Marketing and Brand Strategist develops engaging marketing content for a variety of channels (print, web, advertising, etc.), and oversees the execution of large‑scale advertising campaigns across the five‑state region. The role infuses Planned Parenthood's brand voice throughout, tailoring messaging to ensure it resonates with its intended audience – especially marginalized communities at higher risk of health care inequities. Responsibilities include managing outside vendors, budgets, sponsorships, reporting, internal communications, website support, and related duties. The strategist advocates for the mission of "Advancing and protecting sexual and reproductive health care for all." Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

At least five years of experience in Marketing, Communications, or a closely related field

At least three years of professional experience with media planning/buying, digital advertising reporting and optimization, adhering to strict brand and campaign guidelines, and managing budgets

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong visual acuity

Willingness to appear in and work with volunteers to produce TikTok content

Confidence in making independent decisions and advising groups on best practices

Experience designing in Canva

Your Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

Provide oversight and manage day‑to‑day relationships with advertising partners, acting as first responder. Package campaign assets and overviews, and ensure advertising is properly deployed.

Create advertisements and marketing materials. Follow best practices to develop engaging paid and organic social media content, including TikTok, exercising independent creative and strategic judgment to ensure proper branding, accuracy, and compliance.

Oversee the production of agency‑created content and review for brand voice and accuracy.

Develop strategies and vet new advertising opportunities to ensure messaging reaches and resonates with diverse audiences—particularly young adult BIPOC, the LGBTQ+ community, and non‑English speakers.

Manage assigned budgets, including making channel and budget recommendations, flagging questions/concerns as appropriate, and resolving issues in partnership with departmental leaders.

Process departmental invoices and track spending and payments to ensure accuracy.

Project manage and assist with strategy for major initiatives such as health center moves/openings/closures, and new service launches.

Serve as lead copywriter for marketing materials, patient communications, and the c3 ppncs.org website. Utilize independent judgment when developing content, while looping in related staff where appropriate. Ensure an up‑to‑date and accessible website and advise on website best practices, user experience, and accessibility.

Support grant‑related duties as assigned, including drafting proposals, progress reporting, compiling ad samples, monitoring budgets, etc.

Write internal communications and manage the Marketing intranet site, providing updates on marketing projects, new materials, campaign rollouts, etc. Monitor the Marketing inbox and support or triage requests as appropriate.

Manage sponsorship requests and related advertising needs. Engage outreach staff cross‑departmentally to ensure an on‑brand presence in our communities. Maintain and update sponsorship brand resources, such as the print materials toolkit and swag toolkit.

Use basic design skills (photo resizing, creating simple graphics in Canva and/or Illustrator), or customizing assets provided by the national office for marketing content.

Stay informed of and communicate trends and emerging strategies in the marketing landscape, including related AI capabilities and their implications in the marketing field.

Perform professional duties related to marketing and project management as assigned.
