Your Opportunity
As part of our US West HR Client Services (HRCS) team, the Senior HR Business Partner will support leaders and employees across multiple business centers/business lines in the region. You will act as a trusted advisor, strategist, consultant, analyst, change agent, and coach, collaborating with business leaders to develop and implement strategies that support people and organizational needs in addition to facilitating the deployment of our HR Strategic Plan. You will engage in business conversations, influence, and equip people leaders to cultivate a highly engaged, inspiring, and inclusive workplace.
Your Key Responsibilities
Proactively partner with clients to identify strategic issues, workforce planning, or organizational design challenges and provide advice and expertise to develop creative solutions.
Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders by presenting multiple perspectives and challenging the status quo.
Practice effective relationship management to elevate working relationships with internal client groups, including managers, senior leaders, employees, and our HR Talent Services teams.
Apply HR generalist disciplines—employee engagement, retention, talent development, succession planning, change, conflict and exit management, employment legislation, employee relations, performance management, investigations, job evaluation, compensation management, internal communication, coaching, data analytics, workforce planning, and policy interpretation—to positively impact Stantec’s culture.
Serve as a workforce champion and promote a positive work environment and employee experience.
Facilitate trainings as needed, planning and delivering sessions with managers and employees.
Foster a continuous improvement mindset and continually seek opportunities to increase the return on investment of human resources programs for employees and leaders.
Collaborate within a geographically dispersed team to communicate, facilitate, and/or present HR programs and initiatives to client groups.
Work collaboratively with functions such as HR service representatives and talent acquisition to ensure accurate completion of employee transactions and recruitment activities.

Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
Minimum of 8 years of related work experience.
SHRM certification is preferred.
Typical office environment: working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

Pay Range Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas
- $111,200.00 - $166,900.00 annually
Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA areas
- $119,300.00 - $179,000.00 annually
Pay Transparency In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Compensation is ultimately based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Certain roles may be bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated.
Benefits Summary Regular full‑time and part‑time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short‑term/long‑term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage, and paid family leave. Regular full‑time and part‑time employees receive ten paid holidays each calendar year. Employees can accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and are eligible for paid sick leave (additional benefits per state or local law).
