This position offers a generous compensation plan with a base salary and uncapped tiered commission on all sales. All National Accounts Directors are responsible for achieving personal sales quotas. Total compensation is not guaranteed. Fortis provides full benefits including medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability, life insurance, 401(k) with match, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, pet insurance, employee assistance program, wellness incentives, paid time off, sick days, and paid holidays, as well as standard expense reimbursement for monthly expenses. Candidates will need to travel regularly throughout their region, with up to 50% annual travel. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Achieve annual new business sales goals. Achieve annual existing/current customer sales goals. Identify strategic potential new business sales opportunities within the assigned territory and introduce Fortis to these opportunities. Utilize various tools including personal knowledge, networking, and company marketing resources to generate new leads to drive sales growth. Employ creative and fresh techniques to secure onsite meetings with new business decision makers. Generate new business sales through onsite qualification of customer needs, providing detailed product information and pricing estimates, and communicating Fortis’ value proposition. Utilize Salesforce.com software to report new business contacts, opportunities, track activities (onsite visits, estimates, sample testing, etc.) and provide accurate prospect and sales volume data. Maintain up‑to‑date and organized records. Develop marketing and sales plans for new business growth. Develop generic and specific customer presentations and proposals for new business opportunities, building on existing Fortis presentations. Actively participate in and lead appropriate company sales meetings, sharing presentations, success stories and challenges for collective learning and shared success. Supply win/loss data with reasons for all estimates. Troubleshoot problems regarding customer products and handle complaints if necessary. Keep informed of industry changes, new products, services, and other items of interest to customers. Represent the company at industry conferences and events as necessary. Travel as required to develop new business opportunities within assigned territory. Must possess a home office and a personally insured vehicle. Additional duties as required. Requirements
High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred. At least five (5) years of label or printing sales experience consistently demonstrating a track record of new and existing customer sales growth. Valid driver’s license with an acceptably clean motor vehicle record (MVR). Job Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated experience in selling techniques including securing face‑to‑face meetings with decision makers, debunking common sales objections, and closing deals. Proven ability to close sales and drive territory sales growth. Capable of building strong relationships with prospects and customers. Understanding of the sales landscape in the assigned area. Ability to prioritize and manage competing projects. Proactive, problem‑solver. Accountable to customers and company management. Proficient with Microsoft Office products. Proficient with project management and sales/CRM software (Smartsheet, Salesforce, Microsoft Project, etc.). Capable and comfortable working from a home office. Supervisory Responsibilities
Training requirements: willing to attend required training courses or sessions related to the job as assigned. Physical Demands
Requires driving, sitting, and standing on a regular basis. Pass a pre‑employment drug test and be subject to random drug screening. Work Environment
Will work from home and travel regularly throughout assigned territory. Home office: Adequate Wi‑fi access required to support company‑provided computer and allow for seamless use of communication applications and tools for conducting daily business (e.g., video calls, chat, messaging). Regular exposure to manufacturing environments. Personal Protective Equipment
None required. Safety eye protection is highly recommended in production areas. Travel Requirements
This position will require significant travel, up to 50% annually.
