Medical Science Liaison, Cell Therapy Autoimmune (CTAI) Territory Location:

Field – NC, MD, WV, VA, DC

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-based scientist who serves as an extension of the US Medical Affairs organization. The MSL develops and enhances professional relationships with medical thought leaders, provides scientific exchange and clinical support for Bristol Myers Squibb’s Cell Therapy Autoimmune products, and coordinates closely with the Medical Affairs Department. The position requires more than 50% travel.

Responsibilities

Identify, establish, and maintain scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).

Act as primary liaison to investigators conducting investigator‑initiated research.

Develop and execute geography‑specific Field Medical and KOL Interaction plans aligned with therapeutic area objectives and KOL needs.

Partner with other BMS MSL teams to achieve CTAI objectives with rheumatologists and hematologists.

Support patient education initiatives and serve as subject‑matter expert on BMS pipeline and investigational therapies.

Provide clinical presentations and information in response to unsolicited questions in academic and health‑care provider settings.

Collaborate with Clinical Research and Development to enhance patient enrollment in BMS‑sponsored clinical trials by identifying suitable sites and interacting with investigators.

Provide scientific support at national, regional, and local medical congresses and meetings.

Capture and deliver timely feedback on the cell therapy and autoimmune landscape to internal stakeholders.

Skills / Knowledge Required

Terminal degree in medical science (PA‑C, DNP, Pharm D, M.D., or Ph.D.).

3–5 years clinical or research experience in cell therapy or an autoimmune disease, OR 3–5 years as a medical science liaison in those landscapes.

Cell therapy or rheumatology experience strongly preferred.

Proven ability to work independently and cross–functionally.

Current knowledge of U.S. legal, regulatory, and compliance regulations relevant to industry interactions with health‑care professionals.

Excellent communication, presentation, and time‑management skills.

Ability to translate scientific or clinical data into clear, actionable information for physicians.

Compensation Overview Field – United States – U.S.: $168,220 – $203,837 (FTE). Additional incentive cash and stock may be available; final compensation based on demonstrated experience.
