Reports to AML Manager
Typical Work Hours 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday
About the Role The Senior AML Analyst examines, evaluates, and investigates compliance with laws and regulations governing client accounts and transactions. The candidate will support the AML Manager, conduct investigations of suspicious activity, and draft Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in coordination with the AML Officer.
Responsibilities
Reviews and processes incoming client accounts of all client types.
Reviews and processes accounts requiring Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).
Performs QC on analyst transaction monitoring case reviews.
Reviews and evaluates active transaction monitoring cases and business rules as needed.
Conducts initial and ongoing client monitoring and screening against sanctions and other blocklists.
Receives and manages responses to bank requests for information (RFIs).
Assists with the investigation of suspicious activity and the drafting of SARs in coordination with the AMLRO.
Assists in the training of new AML analysts as needed.
Manages third‑party compliance risk assessments for new and existing vendors, partners, and investment banks.
Reviews, approves, and quality‑checks SARs, EDD reviews, and case files from junior analysts.
Manages correspondent bank relationships, including onboarding questionnaires and ongoing EDD.
Develops, implements, and updates company‑wide processes for stronger internal controls and process flow improvement.
Assists the manager in drafting, implementing, and updating company‑wide policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, political science, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in the BSA/AML industry.
Experience automating compliance processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
A track record of sound decision‑making.
Preferred Qualifications
A‑Money‑Laundering certifications such as CAMS or CSS.
Relevant work experience at an MSB/PSP.
Compensation
Annual salary range of approximately $75,000 to $80,000 based on experience, plus a 10% annual discretionary bonus.
