
Personal Lines Account Manager (Hybrid)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to support and grow an existing book of business while delivering exceptional client service. This role focuses on managing policy lifecycles, strengthening client relationships, and identifying opportunities for additional coverage. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to providing a high-quality client experience.
Work Arrangement This is a full-time, hybrid position working from one of our Long Island, NY offices.
Professional Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned personal lines clients, ensuring responsive and professional service.
Manage the full policy lifecycle, including quoting, renewals, endorsements, and account updates.
Evaluate client risk exposures and recommend appropriate coverage solutions aligned with underwriting guidelines.
Proactively communicate with clients to address needs, resolve issues, and identify cross-selling and referral opportunities.
Act as a trusted advisor by explaining coverage options and helping clients make informed insurance decisions.
Review incoming communications and delegate tasks to Personal Lines Assistants to maintain workflow efficiency.
Support and mentor Personal Lines Assistants, providing guidance on complex service and claims-related matters.
Maintain accurate documentation within the agency management system (EPIC) and ensure compliance with internal standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
3-5 years of experience in account management or customer service, preferably within personal lines insurance.
Active Property & Casualty insurance license required.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
Strong knowledge of personal lines insurance products, coverages, and underwriting principles.
Proficiency with agency management systems (e.g., Applied EPIC), CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and deliver customized solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
High level of professionalism with a commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.
