Cost Accounting Director

Hybrid position with 2 days of remote work per week.

Job Responsibilities

Medicare and Medicaid Reimbursement – Overall accountability for preparation and filing of the Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, establishing internal controls for accuracy and completeness, and maintaining processes for audit responses.

340b Registration and Compliance – In partnership with the AVP of Pharmacy, support compliance requirements of the 340b drug discount program, manage child site eligibility and annual registration, and assist auditors as needed.

Cost Accounting System Management – Maintain the cost accounting system for the Medical Center with the information services team, ensure accurate costing data and internal controls, and analyze clinical operations costing for new initiatives.

Policies & Practices – Develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures that support departmental operations and services, and interact with business and operational leaders to identify upcoming operational changes.

Financial Management – Overall accountability for the department’s financial management, including developing budgets, establishing internal controls, managing cash, supporting external audits, accounts receivable management, financial performance analysis, variance evaluation, and compliance with financial policies.

Performance Management – Direct development and monitoring of staffing and retention strategy, hiring and termination, workforce planning, succession planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management of direct reports, mentoring, learning and development, and partnership with HR to meet talent management goals.

Compliance – Sustain understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, evaluate compliance, recommend improvements, develop corrective action plans, maintain readiness plans, and ensure timely implementation of changes.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field.

7+ years of work experience in a related discipline.

Preferred: 7+ years preparing Medicare/Medicaid cost reports.

Location and Work Schedule South Campus, Full time, Day shift (United States of America), 40 weekly hours, FTE 1.

Compensation Annualized pay may vary based on FTE status: $112,590.40 - $146,369.60.
