Senior Soft Goods Engineer (Space) Cape Canaveral, FL | Full-time | On-site
The Role As a Senior Soft Goods Engineer, you will play a key technical role in the design, development, and qualification of soft goods systems for expandable space habitats. You’ll contribute across the full lifecycle of flight hardware, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust, human-rated structures for space and lunar environments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
Deep expertise in space or aerospace soft goods, including restraint layers, bladder systems, and multilayer insulation
Experience with inflatable or deployable structures and human-rated systems
Strong background in materials testing, structural analysis, and qualification environments
Experience working with flight-certified manufacturing processes and QA documentation
Proven ability to provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams
