Kiewit Power Engineers brings various project types to life across North America, including gas-fired generation, power delivery, environmental retrofits, renewables and new technology, and water/wastewater. Location
This position is located in Atlanta, GA. Responsibilities
Draft sketches, piping and instrument diagrams, or model 3D equipment items for power plant systems including steam cycle systems, boiler feed and condensate, water treatment, fuel handling, hydraulic, heat transfer systems, conveying systems, and air and gas systems. Check design deliverables in accordance with industry codes and standards, contract requirements, and company standards. Adhere to schedules and work assignments to ensure successful project completion. Coordinate with other drafters, designers and other team members assigned to a project or task. Train and advise interns or new graduates. Qualifications
At least 3+ years’ related design experience. Bachelor’s degree in Drafting and Design or related discipline. Proficient in basic computer programs including MS Word and Excel. Knowledge of drafting software including MicroStation, Autodesk, SmartPlant. Other Requirements
Regular, reliable attendance. Work productively and meet deadlines timely. Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others. Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.
