Job Details The Area Superintendent oversees multiple large-scale, multi-million-dollar electrical projects across a region, managing hundreds of field employees and field leadership staff. This individual ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and proactive communication.
Responsibilities
Oversee multiple large, fast-paced electrical construction projects ($1 million up to $30 million), ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
Lead and mentor Field Leaders, including Foremen, General Foremen, and Site Superintendents, promoting accountability and performance.
Collaborate with senior leadership to plan staffing, budgets, and project execution strategies months in advance.
Monitor and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure profitability and efficiency.
Enforce all company safety policies and maintain strict compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
Communicate regularly with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to resolve challenges and ensure satisfaction.
Drive operational excellence by identifying process improvements and implementing best practices across projects.
Qualifications
15+ years of experience in electrical construction, including management of multi-million-dollar projects.
Proven leadership experience managing large field teams and multiple concurrent projects.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, codes, and industry standards.
Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
OSHA 30 certification and proficiency in Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, and Autodesk platforms (Procore and Primavera preferred).
Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience; IBEW affiliation preferred but not required.
Highly motivated, accountable, and adaptable — able to make tough decisions and pivot quickly in dynamic project environments.
