Promote and enforce a safe work environment and safe work practices for all trade contractors and the overall construction site. Supervise and coordinate various contractors to ensure their work is completed on schedule and in accordance with the contract documents. Ensure a quality product for the owner. This position will provide oversight to MEP trade partners and equipment vendors. Responsible for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and special systems coordination and installation needs of our projects.
Responsibilities
Enforce corporate safety policies on jobsite, providing key responsibility for safety compliance in the field.
Implement proactive pre-task safety planning for all work activities
Supervise, coordinate and sequence contractors’ work
Monitor performance and coordinate work to maintain productivity of trades
Oversee creation and completion of punch list
Facilitate Mechanical/Electrical overhead coordination
Develop site logistics plans for entire project to maximize productivity and minimize impacts to building occupants
Develop and maintain complete and detailed project schedule and manage work in accordance with the schedule
Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by enforcing contract requirements and limiting field changes
Assist with development of work scopes and front end documents that comply with applicable trade jurisdictions
Communicate effectively with the Project Manager
Effect timely resolution of conflicts and disputes to minimize delays and claims
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
Strong Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing aptitude
4 year technical/engineering degree or equivalent field experience
Prior experience on healthcare projects preferred
OSHA 30 hour preferred
