Senior Electrical Designer

Collaborate with project teams to understand design requirements and project objectives Develop physical electrical designs, including 3D models, system layouts, and detailed design drawings Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) to create, modify, and maintain electrical drawings Maintain proficiency in design tools and stay current with software updates and enhancements Ensure all designs comply with applicable industry standards, electrical codes, and regulatory requirements Conduct code reviews and implement updates as needed Partner with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs Identify and resolve design-related issues; provide practical and efficient design solutions Prepare and maintain organized documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs) Develop technical reports and documentation for project deliverables Perform site walk-downs for field verification and constructability assessments Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project goals Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience as an Electrical Designer, preferably in heavy industrial environments Strong proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD); extensive 3D modeling experience strongly preferred Solid knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE) Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality design output Effective communication and interpersonal skills Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Ability to build strong working relationships with plant staff, engineering teams, and vendors
