Job Title:

Instructional Designer II

Job Summary The University of Florida's Human Resources Department seeks a collaborative, passionate, and results‑oriented instructional designer to join the Training and Organizational Development (T&OD) team. The role partners with units across UF to create exceptional learning materials and system support documentation for faculty and staff, supporting ongoing personal and professional development opportunities to improve employee effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough needs analyses to determine learning modalities and outcomes.

Design and develop engaging, ADA‑compliant instructional materials using tools such as Articulate Storyline, RISE, Captivate, Adobe Suites, Zoom, MS Teams, and other technologies.

Create online, in‑person, and hybrid courses, Zoom sessions, instructional guides, micro‑learnings, and infographics.

Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and the T&OD team to gather content, research, and feedback.

Manage multiple projects, meet milestones and deadlines, and ensure accurate, high‑quality materials.

Evaluate training effectiveness and align outcomes with objectives.

Facilitate training sessions for faculty and staff.

Qualifications

Master's degree in a related field with two years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with four years of relevant experience.

Strong instructional design skills and ability to build courses quickly.

Excellent written, verbal, and production skills.

Experience with ADA‑compliant design and a variety of development tools.

Self‑starter, results‑oriented with strong project‑management and organizational skills.

Strong communication abilities and teamwork orientation.

Digital portfolio demonstrating instructional design experience required.

Expected Salary:

$61,000 - $70,000
