
Construction Estimator
Associated Masonry Products (AMP), Nashville, TN, United States
Tennessee-based supplier and installer of masonry products is looking for a full-time estimator for our quickly growing commercial department.
We sell and install CMU, brick, thin brick, natural stone, manufactured stone, and full bed depth stone throughout Middle Tennessee and Northern Alabama.
Job Description
Performs material takeoffs to determine masonry and accessory quantities for bidding purposes.
Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications.
Prepares and maintains Schedule of Values and PayApps for payment submission.
Orders materials necessary for construction.
Creates tickets with detailed material and accessories breakouts by section.
Works closely with colleagues and customers to ensure material accuracy and availability for thorough and on-time project completion.
Skill Requirements
General understanding of the construction process is ideal, specific knowledge in masonry a plus.
Must be very focused, detail oriented, and organized.
Knowledge of Procore and Bluebeam beneficial.
Prepare estimates of labor and material costs.
Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and contractors.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
Must have a valid driver's license.
