Position: Worship Leader Reports to: Senior Pastor/SPRC Position Status: Part time/Ministerial Exemption Pay: $24,000.00 – $30,000.00 per year
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Worship Leader to guide our congregation in worship through music and teaching. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in music, a heart for ministry, and the ability to inspire and lead others in their spiritual journey. This role is pivotal in creating an engaging worship experience that fosters community and spiritual growth.
Duties
Lead worship services by selecting and performing appropriate music that aligns with the church’s vision and values.
Collaborate with pastoral staff to plan worship services, including special events and seasonal services.
Mentor and develop team members, fostering their musical talents and spiritual growth.
Communicate effectively with team members, volunteers, and the congregation to ensure smooth operations during services.
Organize rehearsals for the worship team, ensuring all members are prepared for performances.
Stay current with contemporary worship trends while respecting traditional elements of worship.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a leadership role within a church or ministry setting.
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with diverse groups within the church community.
A deep understanding of various musical styles and proficiency in playing instruments (e.g., guitar, piano).
A heart for ministry and a passion for leading others in worship experiences that deepen their faith.
