Head of Client Data Strategy

The Head of Client Data Strategy is a member of Neuberger's Business Enablement and Global Operations Group.

Our New York office is looking for a Head of Client Data Strategy to lead strategic client data oversight for the global client coverage organization. Working closely with Business Analytics and Client Coverage leadership and in partnership with Operations, Finance and Global Tech organization, the Head of Client Data Strategy will be charged with the development and realization of a multi-year roadmap to deliver on the client data value chain, including data architecture, governance, acquisition, quality management processes, modeling, user experience, business intelligence, and advanced analytics.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will oversee the delivery and evolution of this roadmap by way of the following:

Effectively interact with Client Coverage leadership, Business Analytics leadership, Finance, Operations, and Technology to understand the business needs, gather requirements, and liaise within the firm to define and execute on a robust, scalable and flexible client data strategy.

Lead client centric data architecture and execution of integrating data across multiple sources and formats for client 360 view.

Develop and implement a holistic data governance model in line with the firmwide Enterprise Data Governance standards.

Own evaluation of new data sources, acquisition of that data, and delivery of that data.

Manage and oversee the delivery of projects necessary to achieve the strategy with an eye towards business process redesign.

Provide thought leadership in proper implementation of processes and tools that best align with the organization's strategic objectives.

Provide leadership for direct reports and partner resources. Recruit and maintain a highly qualified and motivated staff. Responsible for all staff mentoring, training and development as well as periodic and annual reviews.

Requirements:

10-15+ years' progressive industry experience in leading client data/analytics strategy, governance and implementation within Financial Services / Asset Management

Proven track record of establishing and executing on client data strategy within a complex and rapidly evolving business; Ability to visualize and shape business needs and communicate in a way that gets stakeholder buy in

Experienced leader partnering with business to conceive and deliver high profile programs involving multiple stakeholders and requiring coordination across multiple delivery functions

Global experience of supporting all client channels such as Intermediary, Institutional, HNW across all investment vehicles including Mutual Funds, UCITS, ETFs, Managed/Separate accounts and Alternative Investments

Strong business intelligence analysis and project management skills

Demonstrated sense of personal and team accountability

Ability to forge collaborative relationships with business leaders, develop & deliver strategic technical vision, and to communicate effectively across all levels within the organization

Strong leadership experience with a hands-on approach

Ability to balance global, regional and line of business perspective with those of the firm, clients and shareholders

Poised under high pressure situations

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $250,000-$275,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement, life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
