
Industrial Sales Engineer

Kinsley Power Systems is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Industrial Sales Engineer (Outside Sales) to grow our presence across a defined territory.
This is a field-based, outside sales role focused on developing new business, cultivating long-term customer relationships, and driving revenue growth in industrial power generation applications.

What You’ll Do:
Proactively develop and close new industrial power generation project opportunities within your territory
Spend the majority of your time in the field meeting with engineers, electrical contractors, municipalities, government entities, OEMs, and end users
Drive new business through relationship building, prospecting, and consultative selling
Influence quote development, equipment selection, and project terms
Negotiate and close high-revenue, margin-driven projects
Collaborate with engineering and technical resources on joint sales calls
Identify cross-selling opportunities across rental, service, residential, and prime power solutions
Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and project tracking in CRM
Provide weekly/monthly forecasting and reporting
What We’re Looking For:
Strong technical background required — experience in generator systems, power generation, switchgear, transfer switches, load banks, fuel systems, CHP, battery storage, or related energy infrastructure strongly preferred
Ability to confidently discuss specifications, applications, and system configurations with engineers and contractors
Experience selling complex, engineered equipment or capital projects
Consultative selling approach with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value
Self-motivated, competitive, and performance-driven
Strong project management mindset with ability to manage multiple active opportunities
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience)
Ability to travel throughout assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel
Valid driver’s license
