Turner & Townsend is looking for a
Director of Project Controls
to lead our team on a large, new‑build healthcare construction project. Key Responsibilities
Establish and execute high‑level strategic direction of project controls, including cost, risk and schedule management. Lead the project budget approval process and develop overall financial plans. Conduct risk workshops, identify risks, establish likelihood and severity, and define mitigation actions. Coordinate cross‑functional deliverables and motivate the team through clear direction and goals. Facilitate weekly team meetings to discuss progress and drive performance. Lead development and production of regular reporting. Manage the Project Controls Team and assure deliverables with quality control and assurance. Prepare documentation for project gateways and approvals. Develop guidelines for project chartering, partnering, and establishing baseline metrics. Review and approve project master schedules, budgets, cash flow, and change‑management plans. Oversee estimating, life‑cycle costing, and contingency methodology. Develop protocols for diversity compliance, monitoring, and reporting. Report performance against project metrics, including forecasting, trending, incidents and overall status. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate consent for change‑management actions. Identify opportunities for risk improvement, Monte‑Carlo analyses, and process integration. Qualifications
Proven track record leading controls on new‑build projects of $1 billion or larger. Knowledge of multiple contract delivery methods and their merits. Proven success with schedules, cost control, estimating and risk management. Experience implementing and managing a project controls system for a major capital project. Knowledge of web‑based project management systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience establishing and monitoring project baselines and performance metrics. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in construction‑related disciplines. 10+ years of experience managing complex, multi‑phase, capital projects or programs. Compensation
$200,000‑$240,000 per year
