About the Role Peraton requires Cybersecurity Analysts to support the Special Operations Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM. The purpose of the SITEC 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance Task Order is to provide USSOCOM and its components with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations, support systems, manage assets, conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMAC) services.
Responsibilities
Strategically identify and assess anomalies, suspicious activities, and cyber threats using advanced monitoring tools and techniques.
Analyze patterns and trends to proactively mitigate vulnerabilities.
Support effective incident management processes, including triage, investigation, and escalation of complex issues.
Document findings and ensure adherence to incident handling protocols.
Generate insightful reports and metrics to support compliance and operational strategies.
Foster teamwork and cross‑functional collaboration to create a unified defense strategy.
Effectively communicate technical insights and participate in knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
Stay ahead of emerging cyber threats and technologies through ongoing education and certifications.
Operate within a 24/7 SOC environment, which may require shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of experience with a high school diploma or 2 years of an AS/AA degree.
A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.
DoD 8570 IAT II certifications and certifications such as CEH, CFR, and CCNA Cyber Ops or CCNA‑Security or CySA+ or CHFI or GCIA or GCIH or GCFA or GICSP or Cloud+ or SCYBER or PenTest+.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including threat detection, malware analysis, and network security.
Familiarity with SIEM platforms, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection solutions.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced environment.
Work schedule: This position has a 12‑hour rotating shift work schedule totaling 80 hours for the bi‑weekly pay period. Weekly schedule is Sunday‑Wednesday or Wednesday‑Saturday, composed of 3x12‑hour or 3x10‑hour shifts plus one 8‑hour shift. Hours may flex or change to meet mission requirements, usually on a 3‑month rotation.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is an advantage.
Target Salary Range $66,000 – $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus may be in addition to base pay.
