Recertification Specialist – Bronx, NY
THIS IS A LONG-TERM TEMPORARY ROLE-LIKELY TEMP-TO-HIRE. ONSITE 5 DAYS PER WEEK IN THE BRONX.
Non Profit located in the Bronx is seeking a Recertification Specialist.
Base Pay Range $28.00/hr – $30.00/hr

Job Summary Process all required annual income certifications as per HUD and LIHTC regulations.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities
Collects information pertinent to income certifications from tenants and processes it to generate annual recertifications. Interacts with tenants and property managers to ensure timely submission of information and completion of the recertifications.
Verifies income information received from tenants as per the program regulations and enters the data into Yardi.
Upon completion of the recertifications secures tenants' signatures.
Reviews and maintains the tenants' files according to program requirements.
Qualifications
Knowledge of Section 8, Low Income Housing Tax Credit, and HOME programs preferred; knowledge of Yardi or similar affordable housing software.
At least 3-5 years of experience with these programs preferred; certificates in any/all of the programs a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
Excellent customer service orientation, people skills.
Highly organized, attention to detail; able to work independently and multitask.
Strong verbal and written communication; bilingual English and Spanish a plus.
Computer literate; general knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Required Education High School Diploma required.
MUST have experience entering recertifications in Yardi.
