$110,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr About Us: We are a fast-growing commercial general contractor seeking a motivated
Construction Estimator
to join our team. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with contractors, vendors, and labor partners. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in cost structures, timelines, and government regulations while bringing a proactive approach to estimating and project planning. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and estimate project budgets by thoroughly reviewing plans and specifications. Develop detailed scopes of work based on plans, specifications, and project requirements. Apply working knowledge of CSI divisions (1–16) in all estimating processes. Prepare conceptual budgets using quantity take-offs and historical data. Analyze subcontractor proposals and scopes to ensure alignment with project requirements. Draft and submit RFIs while maintaining communication with architects, engineers, and other professionals. Perform accurate quantity take-offs; proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff is a plus. Skills & Qualifications: Strong ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Project is a plus. Skilled in scoping construction trades and understanding project requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with internal and external stakeholders. Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with local vendors and contractors is advantageous. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent experience. At least two years of relevant construction estimating experience preferred.
