Integrated Systems Salesperson
Responsible for promoting and selling cutting‑edge integrated systems for various applications, including fire and security solutions, audiovisual systems, and data communications. Leverage technical expertise and sales acumen to engage with clients, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and connectivity. Contribute to the growth of VSC through strategic planning, client relationship management, and exceptional salesmanship. This position is eligible for commission.

What You Need
3–5 years of experience in contract sales of fire alarm, electronic security, or related field, including prior management experience
Strong prospecting skills and proven history of successful sales and contract negotiation
In‑depth knowledge of installation and maintenance of fire protection systems, especially fire detection and alarm systems, security, surveillance, and access systems
Knowledge of applicable state, local, and BOCA codes, Fire Marshals, NFPA 72 Standard, ADA, and authorities having jurisdiction governing the company’s work geography
Good record‑keeping skills for sales and estimating proposals
Ability to monitor and enforce safety policies and procedures
Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills
Background check clearance
Reliable transportation, valid state driver’s license with acceptable record for use of company vehicle
Desirable (but not required): NICET Level 1 certification
What You Will Do
Engage with clients to understand their fire, life safety, and security requirements and provide customized integrated system solutions
Collaborate with contractors on bid processes and develop proposals that align with project specifications
Ensure integration of fire and security systems within the broader project framework to enhance overall safety
Pursue continuous learning to stay current with industry trends and technological advancements
Promote and deliver high‑quality integrated systems for fire and security applications
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends
Develop and maintain strong, long‑term client relationships and ensure ongoing satisfaction
Prepare detailed, persuasive sales proposals and presentations tailored to each client’s needs
Monitor and analyze sales metrics, forecast future sales, and adjust strategies as needed
Ensure system designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards
Work with clients to develop budgets that are cost‑effective and meet safety requirements
Establish and maintain vendor and supplier relationships to ensure availability of high‑quality components and timely delivery
Provide training and educational resources to clients on operation and maintenance of installed systems
Lead contract negotiations with clients to secure favorable terms
Collaborate with engineering, project management, and customer service teams for seamless project execution
Review and analyze performance metrics to optimize sales techniques and exceed targets
