
Kitchen & Bath Designer – Showroom Sales

Hannapel is hiring an experienced Kitchen & Bath Designer for our Kalamazoo-area showroom. This role is ideal for designers currently at a box store or cabinet studio who are ready to work on larger projects, earn stronger commissions, and sell in a professional showroom environment.
Our designers guide clients from concept through order placement. Work is driven primarily by showroom traffic and builder referrals — so you can focus on designing and closing projects, not cold prospecting.
What You’ll Do
Meet with homeowners and contractors in the showroom to understand their goals and budgets
Design kitchen and bath layouts using ProKitchen software
Recommend cabinetry, countertops, and vanity solutions
Prepare drawings and detailed quotes
Guide customers through product selections and finalize orders
Manage projects from initial design through ordering
Coordinate with contractors, installers, and the internal team
Ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction throughout

Compensation
Base salary: $60,000 (based on experience)
Commission structure rewards successful project management and closings
Schedule
Every other weekend required
Work location: Kalamazoo showroom (in person)

Qualifications Required:
3+ years of kitchen and bath design experience
Proficiency in ProKitchen, 2020 Design, or similar CAD software
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously
Comfortable working directly with homeowners and contractors
Preferred:
Experience selling cabinetry lines such as KraftMaid or similar brands
Background in a showroom sales environment
