Sales & Use Tax Analyst Metro Salt Lake City, UT (Onsite) $80-$100k About the Opportunity: CV Resources is partnering with a growing organization in Salt Lake City metro to identify a Sales & Use Tax Analyst . This is a highly visible, detail-oriented role responsible for managing multi-state sales and use tax compliance, exemption certificates, and indirect tax processes. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys owning the full tax cycle, working cross-functionally, and ensuring compliance in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, file, and remit monthly sales and use tax returns across multiple U.S. states Manage local, city, and special district tax filings, including home-rule jurisdictions Track filing deadlines, rate changes, and ensure timely, accurate submissions Reconcile sales tax accounts and support audit readiness Oversee exemption certificate management, ensuring accuracy and compliance Partner with internal teams (Sales, AR, Customer Service) to resolve tax-related issues Research and document state-by-state product taxability Monitor and interpret changes in tax laws and regulations Qualifications: 4 years of experience in sales and use tax or indirect tax Strong knowledge of multi-state tax compliance Experience managing exemption certificates and audit support High attention to detail with strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally Preferred: Experience with complex jurisdictions (home-rule states) Background in public accounting or large multi-entity organizations Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel Why This Role: High-impact role with ownership over tax compliance processes Stable and growing organization Competitive compensation aligned with experience If you’re interested in learning more, apply directly or reach out to CV Resources for a confidential conversation.
