JOB OPPORTUNITY INDUSTRY: Commercial Banking POSITION: In-House Legal Counsel LOCATION: Manhattan, NY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide legal support and guidance to the loan department on commercial and real estate lending matters.
Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents and related contracts.
Prepare loan documentation for C&I and CRE loans using the LaserPro system.
Support and manage the bank’s loan closing process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Conduct legal research and monitor regulatory changes impacting the bank’s operations.
Coordinate with external counsel and assist in managing litigation and legal matters.
REQUIREMENTS
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required
5+ years of legal experience, preferably in a commercial banking or financial services environment.
Active admission to a state bar and in good standing.
Strong written and verbal communication, along with solid interpersonal skills.
