EM and Credit Repo Trader Vice President

Responsible for trading, managing, building and expanding the Americas EM & Credit SFT businesses for BSI and BBVA SA

Responsibilities: -Trade the existing SFT Americas EM & Credit activity which includes:

Payoffs: fixed, floating, open

Settlement: bilateral or triparty

SFT Products - Repo, Securities Lending, TRS, Bond Forward, XCCY, Secured Loans

-Grow SFT Americas EM & Credit businesses by expanding existing product capabilities and by adding new products and clients

-Manage SFT positions and hedge risks including: liquidity, balance sheet, interest rates, and FX exposures

-Enhance SFT desk position and risk management tools and processes

-Work closely with the SFT trading and sales teams in the different geographies

-Collaborate closely with middle and back office on settlement and operational issues

-Work with Engineering, Legal, Business Processes, Risk, Middle and Back Office on designing and building SFT infrastructure in BSI or BBVA SA

-Support UST Repo Trading team where possible

Requirements

In depth SFT product knowledge of Latam Sovereign, EM Credit, and US Credit

Knowledgeable regarding interest rate swaps, cross-currency swaps, FX spots, FX swaps, NDFs as hedge instruments

Experience quoting all types of repos, bond forwards, total return swaps using multiple currencies

Proven risk manager, prudent hedging and trading strategies

Experience working with Latam Sales and Clients to manage and expand SFT activities

Minimum 5 years of work experience in Fixed Income markets, with at least 2 years of experience in SFT / Repo markets

Strong communication skills and strong leadership skills

Series 7 and 63

Technical and analytical

Experience using Bloomberg, Brokertec, GLMX and other trading platforms.

Experience with Murex a plus

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $200,000 to $225,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
