Member Engagement & Events Specialist
Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce
Full-Time
Salary Range: $50,000–$60,000
Reports to: CEO
Location: Annapolis, Maryland (Hybrid)
About the Role The Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce is looking for a highly organized, people-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment. This role sits at the center of our member experience—supporting onboarding, managing communications, and bringing events to life. If you enjoy connecting with people, keeping multiple moving pieces on track, and making sure no detail falls through the cracks, this could be a great fit.
Why This Role Matters You are often the first and most consistent touchpoint our members have with the Chamber. Your ability to stay organized, responsive, and thoughtful directly impacts how connected and supported our business community feels. We pride ourselves on ensuring a top-notch member experience, and this role is aimed at delivering that service consistently.
What You’ll Be Doing This is a hands‑on, highly interactive role where no two days look the same.
Onboard new members and ensure they feel welcomed, informed, and connected from day one.
Manage member communications, including responding to calls, emails, updating contacts, ensuring accurate information in CRM and on website, as well as publishing the weekly e‑newsletter.
Support a high-quality member experience, ensuring members know how to engage and get value from the Chamber.
Coordinate event logistics, including registrations, vendor coordination, materials, and on‑site support.
Provide Membership & Event Marketing support, creating content (posts, reels, stories) to promote members, sponsors and events on Chamber’s social media platforms.
Support and attend events, which may include early mornings, evenings, and an occasional weekend.
Juggle multiple priorities at once—from member needs to event details to internal coordination.
What We’re Looking For
Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
Comfortable multitasking and shifting priorities quickly.
Inherently responsive and service-minded with members and partners.
A strong communicator who can manage emails, logistics, and relationships with ease.
Energized by being around people and in the community.
