Facilities Operations Director
who is inspired by this mission and eager to ensure that our shared physical spaces are safe, welcoming, compliant, and aligned with long-term institutional goals. This is an opportunity to lead facilities and shared services in a way that directly supports educational equity, organizational sustainability, and community impact. Key highlights: Oversee a diverse 5?building, 1M?sq?ft campus serving 700+ students and community members daily.Lead the Facilities Operations Manager (oversees the Custodial team) and 2 maintenance technicians, plus contracted service partners.Manage an operating budget of $1M and direct multiple capital projects annually.This role is ideal for a systems builder, someone eager to elevate preventive maintenance, vendor management, and capital planning practices across a multi-tenant campus. This is a senior leadership role responsible for directing all campus facilities operations and shared support functions for UVLF and CRJHS. This leader serves as a strategic partner to organizational leadership and the Lake & 4 Condominium Board. RequiredBachelors degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.710 years of progressive experience in facilities, property, or operations management.At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.Demonstrated experience managing contracts, leases, vendors, and capital projects.Strong working knowledge of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire/life safety, and security systems.Understanding of facilities maintenance best practices, preventive maintenance programs, and asset management principles.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and technical drawings.Solid understanding of budgeting, financial management, and basic accounting principles.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to boards or senior stakeholders.Valid drivers license and ability to respond to occasional after-hours or emergency needs.Ability to successfully pass pre-employment background check and recuring background checks as required. PreferredExperience in education, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations.Experience working with boards, condominium associations, or multi-tenant facilities.Familiarity with values-based or faith-affiliated organizations.
