Lawn & Garden Associate (Seasonal)

Do you like working outside? Here at A.W. Brown we are now proudly employee owned and looking for a seasonal associate to help in our busy garden nursery. Customer service is our number one priority and we empower our department associates to ensure our guests receive an amazing consumer experience. Associates are responsible for providing value-added customer service along with plant watering and maintenance, product merchandising and keeping our nursery clean and organized. The ideal candidate will be available from April until August for 30-40 hours per week. Weekends are required.
Responsibilities
Customer service and sales.
Maintain health and care for plants and other greenery: Watering, feeding, pruning and deadheading.
Be responsive to changing weather conditions.
Clean up any spills that may occur from an overturned plant, ripped bag, broken container, etc.
Continually review and restock shelves and displays as needed both inside and outside the store. This includes aisles #1 and 8 in the main store.
Assist with weekly order deliveries: Organize and stock new shipments onto the selling floor or outdoor areas.
Setting up displays. Pricing/labeling of items, shelves or bins.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Lawn & Garden: 2 years (Required)
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to lift moderately heavy packages for merchandising and customer assistance.
Must be able to spend long periods of time on your feet, oftentimes for the duration of your shift.
Must be able to work a seasonal schedule, understanding that hours and months of work can and will fluctuate due to weather and store necessity.
Must be friendly, team-oriented and enjoy working with customers and other employees.
