Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site position located in Charlotte, NC for a Fire Sprinkler Designer. The role includes preparing accurate and detailed fire sprinkler system designs, conducting system reviews, and providing technical support to ensure compliance with local and national codes. The Fire Sprinkler Designer will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to create effective, efficient, and code‑compliant fire protection designs. Additionally, the role requires maintaining project documentation and assisting in field surveys.
Qualifications
Proficiency in CAD software and fire protection design tools, AutoSprink preferred.
Knowledge of fire suppression systems and national fire codes, such as NFPA standards.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Project management and time management skills for handling multiple projects.
Technical problem‑solving abilities and the ability to work collaboratively with teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
NICET certification in Water‑Based Systems Layout, or willingness to pursue, preferred.
Prior experience in fire sprinkler system design is a MUST.
Proficient in performing hydraulic calculations utilizing hydraulic software.
Ability to produce accurate stock lists utilizing stock listing software and hand listing when needed for small projects or loose material lists.
