The Vice President, Account Director is the strategic lead on one of the agency’s larger accounts. This role owns the account’s commercial performance — driving revenue, ensuring profitability, and maintaining rigorous financial oversight — while elevating the quality and impact of HCP engagement. As a primary client partner, the VP, Account Director serves as a trusted strategic advisor to brand. They proactively identify growth opportunities, shape launch and lifecycle strategies, and ensure seamless execution across disciplines. Internally, this leader builds and develops high-performing teams, sets a clear standard for operational excellence, and drives accountability across a complex, matrixed environment. Responsibilities
Serve as the primary owner of the client relationship for the assigned brand, building trust and guiding strategic decision‑making Lead brand strategy and influence clients to achieve business and marketing objectives Develop a deep understanding of the client’s business, competitive landscape, and industry trends; stay alert to marketplace shifts Approach the brand with a holistic marketing lens, integrating emerging technologies and cross‑channel insights into recommendations Lead, manage, and mentor the account team; provide guidance on agency processes, culture, and best practices Partner with integrated agency teams to ensure seamless collaboration and delivery of high‑quality, strategically aligned work Evaluate creative against strategic objectives and provide clear, constructive feedback Own revenue management, forecasting, and financial performance for the brand; oversee budgets, staffing, and scope negotiations Optimize agency services and internal workflows to improve efficiency and elevate output Spearhead major client presentations, including annual plans and key program recommendations Proactively build and strengthen client relationships across the organization; navigate complex situations with professionalism and sensitivity Identify and drive growth opportunities within existing accounts and support new business efforts Seek opportunities to showcase agency work with current clients and prospective partners Qualifications
10+ years of experience in client services, including pharmaceutical advertising (required) 3+ years of people management experience, with a proven ability to develop and mentor team members Proactive, action‑oriented problem solver who drives momentum and resolves challenges efficiently Demonstrates integrity and builds trust consistently with colleagues and clients Proven track record of growing business within existing accounts (upselling), and experience supporting new business pitches Additional Information

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third‑party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
