Fire Sprinkler Designer

Established in 1984, IEFP has played a significant role in the construction of fire safety

systems in some of the Inland Pacific Northwest's most notable facilities including

schools, hospitals, shopping malls, community centers, apartment buildings, high rise

office buildings, large and small storage facilities, large and small manufacturing

facilities, military installations, and more.

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of

precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Expertise in fire

suppression systems, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer generated reports.

Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.

Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, or other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, or maintenance requirements of designs or applications.

Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems or needs.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma - or the equivalent (for example, GED)

Valid State Driver's License

U.S. citizenship due to the level of access to sensitive information and/or restricted facilities

Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly, familiarity with local building codes and OSHA regulations

Knowledgeable in all current health and safety regulations

Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and/or situations

Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of the shop

NICET (Level III) In Water-Based Systems Layout (WA) & (ID)

Must be able to pass a post-offer drug screen test, background, and reference check.
