
SEO Analyst

An SEO Analyst plays a key role in improving a website’s search engine visibility and driving organic traffic. By analyzing performance data and identifying trends, SEO Analysts help optimize websites to deliver better search experiences for users. They work closely with various teams in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments to implement SEO strategies that align with business goals.
Responsibilities
Plan and execute SEO tests : Collect and analyze data to identify trends and actionable insights that inform strategy.
Collaborate with internal teams : Develop a search‑data‑driven and user‑experience‑focused approach that integrates insights from multiple departments.
Ensure SEO best practices in development : Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure SEO best practices are implemented in newly developed code, enhancing the overall search experience for end users.
Leverage search data for brand opportunities : Partner with brand and PR teams to identify opportunities and drive initiatives based on search data insights.
Identify issues and opportunities from SEO data : Collaborate with the SEO team to analyze data, uncover key insights, and highlight areas for improvement and growth within the enterprise.
Utilize generative AI for SEO improvements : Work closely with the data science team to understand and apply AI‑generated outputs that enhance the organic search performance of digital assets.
Prepare weekly reporting : Develop and present comprehensive reporting to stakeholders, offering insights into SEO performance and actionable recommendations.
Contribute to cross‑departmental strategy : Support SEO integration with PR, SEM, social media, and creative teams to align efforts and maximize results across marketing channels.
Evangelize SEO in broader business initiatives : Advocate for SEO in product launches, brand campaigns, website development, site architecture, UX, and other key initiatives.
Qualifications
Educational Background:
4‑year college degree or equivalent experience.
Experience Demonstrated:
2–3 years of SEO experience.
Previous digital agency or digital marketing experience is a plus.
Additional online marketing experience (SEM, social, email, display, analytics) is a plus.
Experience with SEO analytics tools (SEO Clarity, Ahrefs, Majestic SEO, Moz, etc.) is a huge plus.
Google Search Console proficiency generally required.
Technical Skills:
Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition.
Knowledge of HTML required; JavaScript, PHP, .NET, JSP, and regex are a huge plus.
Knowledge of machine learning principles and their practical applications, including generative AI, in the field of SEO.
Strong Excel skills and proficiency in other MS Office Suite applications (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project).
Analytical and Problem‑solving Skills:
Data‑driven, analytical mindset with strong math skills.
Understanding of cutting‑edge technologies, including machine learning and generative AI, as applied to SEO.
Analytical thinking to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
Problem‑solving skills to identify and implement effective solutions.
Attention to detail for accuracy in strategies and implementations.
Adaptability to stay current with evolving SEO trends.
Soft Skills:
