Opportunity for advancement

Are you organized, enthusiastic, and a quick learner? Do you have restaurant or retail experience? (Restaurant workers know how to work quickly, handle rushes, and take care of customers!) Award winning children's resale store is looking for a motivated professional who can provide positive customer and seller experiences and help keep our store full of great kid's stuff! You would become an important part of a team and business that pays families to recycle their gently used kid's clothes, toys & baby gear. You would sort through 1000's of items each week -- correctly selecting and appraising hundreds of children's clothes, shoes, toys & baby gear each day. Our community loves and needs us to help make parenting more affordable.

Lead the team through your example of productivity, efficiency, and friendly customer service

Cover shifts as necessary in the event of call-outs.

Evaluate and price inventory using our proprietary buying software

Running a boutique with passion and drive

Qualifications Very few people are experienced in the resale industry -- but the Kid to Kid Franchise has trained 1000's of people who have worked in retail, teaching, or restaurants to become resale experts. Qualifications include the ability to pay attention to detail, learn quickly about the products we sell, and work efficiently to process the incoming merchandise. Experience in a similarly fast-paced environment is a plus. Knowledge about children's products, styles and fashions will help you progress to an appraiser level more quickly. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus too. Must have a friendly, outgoing personality. Must love to plan, organize, and prioritize to get daily duties and other projects completed quickly. To be considered, we need 3 things: Please send a COVER LETTER explaining why you would love to be considered for this position, a copy of your resume, and a salary history.

Additional Information Working in a Kid to Kid store requires a unique personality and talent set because our shoppers are also our suppliers! We don't order boxes of clothing or toys in certain styles and sizes. We purchase them every day from families who bring them to our store. Excellent customer and seller communication skills ensure positive experiences. Our buyers are trained to evaluate and appraise incoming product to ensure that it meets our quality, selection and pricing criteria. Buyers assist with monthly markdowns, daily rack maintenance, and seasonal set changes. This is a fun job for the right person who likes helping families, loves variety in their activities, and is good at multi-tasking and problem solving. It's not a great job for someone who struggles with stress, low energy levels, or becomes overwhelmed easily. It is a great job for someone who loves keeping busy, pays attention to details, and feels a sense of pride in a job well done.
