About the Role As a key management position, the Director of Codes Engineering leads the Elevate Codes department, overseeing all functions for the Elevate and GenFlex product lines. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Technology, the role partners across Elevate and Amrize BE to drive sales‑driven, cost‑effective execution that aligns with the organization’s strategic vision.
What You’ll Accomplish
Lead and direct all Codes Engineering and Administration functions for the Elevate and GenFlex product lines.
Develop and drive a clear strategy to strengthen our codes‑excellence leadership and competitive advantage.
Report regular project and departmental status updates to the Senior Vice President of Technology.
Build strong working relationships with key departments across Elevate—R&D, Product Management, Field Technical Services, Marketing and Sales—and with Amrize BE teams, external labs, and industry associations.
Design, implement, and analyze performance metrics to ensure projects align with Elevate Leadership’s strategic guidance.
Strategically support the Codes team through the entire project lifecycle, from demand evaluation to tool education for the sales team.
Prioritize work with an 80/20 sales‑driven focus.
Champion departmental efforts to deliver timely projects and cost‑efficient outcomes.
Conduct regular in‑person meetings with cross‑functional staff and testing laboratories to foster collaboration.
Represent Elevate and Amrize at high‑profile industry codes efforts, including conferences and standards bodies.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the Building Products industry, with a focus on cross‑functional leadership and strategic impact.
Deep knowledge of industry codes and proven ability to guide departmental strategy.
Successful track record in codes project execution, delivering complex, strategic initiatives.
Experience leading remote, diverse, multi‑generational teams.
Proven ability to drive high performance through metrics‑based accountability.
High proficiency in generating, analyzing, and presenting metrics using Microsoft and Google productivity suites.
Excellent time‑management and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to travel at least 50% of the time, including dedicated weeks at Elevate headquarters and the Global Technology Center.
