Senior Sales Engineer – Aviation & Test Systems
Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid Travel Role | ~30–40% Travel)
A leading global engineering and test systems organization is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to drive growth across the aviation and aerospace sector . This role sits at the intersection of technical expertise and strategic sales , supporting major OEM relationships and expanding market share across North America.
This is a high-impact, customer-facing role with visibility into cutting‑edge aviation test systems, simulation, and engineered solutions .

What You’ll Do:
Serve as a trusted advisor to aerospace customers, building long‑term partnerships
Drive new business development and account growth across aviation clients
Lead the full sales lifecycle : discovery, solution design, proposal, negotiation, and close
Translate complex technical requirements into tailored solutions
Collaborate with engineering, product, and global teams to deliver high‑impact outcomes
Maintain and grow a strong pipeline of capital equipment/test system opportunities
What You Bring:
5–7+ years of experience in technical sales, engineering, or test systems
Background in aerospace, defense, or aviation environments
Experience working with or selling into OEMs or complex engineering organizations
Ability to navigate long sales cycles and high‑value CAPEX solutions
Strong communication, relationship‑building, and influencing skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, etc.)
Preferred Experience:
Aviation component testing or simulation
Capital equipment or engineered systems sales
Exposure to ITAR/EAR, FAR/DFARS, or regulated environments
Military or hands‑on technical experience highly valued
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary: $110K–$120K
