Work Schedule: Store Hours are: M-F 7:00am-4:30pm; Counter Sales Associate shifts and hours determined by branch manager, and are between 6:00am-5:00pm

Job Summary As a Counter Sales Associate, you will be representing a trusted HVAC and Refrigeration industry wholesaler and providing prompt, professional, and expert customer service, sales, and product knowledge to local and regional businesses requiring HVAC‑R parts, equipment, and services.
Essential Functions
Sales & Sales Support – Respond to customer inquiries and orders professionally and efficiently; support territory sales team with requests and product/customer information
Order Entry/Processing – Accurately process, service, and fulfill customer orders
Customer Service – Build and maintain meaningful customer relationships
Inventory & Warehouse – Conduct or provide back‑up for the shipping, receiving, inventory, and delivery of Crescent Parts products and purchase orders
Branch Upkeep – Maintain the appearance, upkeep, and safety of the store
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist customers and promote counter, phone, and online sales by educating customers and by building strong, long‑lasting relationships
Support and engage with Territory Sales Managers by responding to sales team requests, providing production information and sales quotes, and sharing prospective sales leads or ideas that support business development and growth for the branch and business
Order Entry & Customer Quotes
Input and verify customer orders, account details, and product information to ensure place, schedule, and ensure timely product delivery
Conduct payment transactions and account reconciliations for customer orders
Follow‑up on special product orders and backordered items to ensure customer satisfaction
Provide customers with product & service quotes
Inventory & Cycle Counting
Maintain accurate inventory and proper bin locations on all stocked items
Perform cycle counts and report discrepancies
Provide feedback to inventory distribution department on issues related to stock levels, non‑stock inventory, or other inventory requirements
Shipping & Receiving
Oversee/Conduct the shipping, receiving, and delivery of purchase orders, products, and warehouse transfers
Oversee/Conduct the process for unavailable inventory (i.e. special orders, non‑stock orders)
Load/unload trucks and make customer deliveries when necessary
Branch Upkeep & Safety
Ensure all areas of the branch/store are kept clean, orderly, and safe
Keep all catalogs, books, product literature, and store displays orderly and up to date
Education & Training
Commit to continued product education and professional training provided to expand employee product knowledge, enhance customer relationships, maintain and grow the business, and promote career advancement
Attend informational webinars, seminars, meetings, and training sessions that promote new/existing product knowledge, business objectives, and workforce initiatives
Experience & Qualifications
Relevant professional or technical experience – wholesale, retail, or business‑to‑business customer service or sales experience, technical/HVAC knowledge
Ability to listen and communicate by phone, writing, and in‑person with customers in a professional and prompt manner
Ability to successfully prioritize and conduct the various sales, customer service, order entry, inventory, delivery, and housekeeping tasks of the branch on a daily basis
Ability to understand and calculate numbers and figures related to branch/company sales
Basic computer skills – Outlook, Word, Excel
Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift and pass forklift safety test
Desire to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced workplace…
Desire to work in a positive, courteous, professional, and teamwork‑oriented environment
Experience with HVAC industry with a strong emphasis on customer service a plus
Experience with purchasing (POS) and/or inventory software a plus
Educational Experience High school diploma or GED required, additional certification or coursework from a college or HVAC industry training, certification, or college coursework/degree a plus
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to temperatures that are outside the normal human comfort ranges of 72‑76 degrees. Work can involve lifting of product weighing up to 50 pounds
