Overview
Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Ensures that the Deli Department is kept clean and sanitized at all times. Manages all budgeting and financial aspects of the department. Oversees clerks within the department and monitors proper merchandising, rotations, and inventory levels to promote optimal sales opportunities.
Salary: $19.75 – $31.50
Responsibilities
Consistently provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service at all times.
Handle and merchandise all deli products according to company policy.
Display and express a complete knowledge of all deli products to customers.
Smile, make eye contact, and thank customers when fulfilling requests.
Sample and suggestively sell; end each transaction with a “Thank You.”
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
Manage the Deli Operation, including associate scheduling, training, and other administrative duties.
Achieve all budgeted financial figures for the department as stipulated in the store profit plan.
Oversee merchandising of deli foods: inventory levels, shelf allotment, displays, and sale items.
Prepare in‑store made prepared food programs and Roaster Chicken side orders.
Order and control inventory of deli products (levels, rotation, codes, damages).
Ensure compliance with all corporate and state sanitation policies and procedures.
Accurately and efficiently fill all customer special orders.
Maintain a high level of customer courtesy and service within the Deli Department.
Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
Perform any other related duties as assigned by management, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
At least 18 years of age.
Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow‑through to achieve desired results.
Basic literacy.
Strong communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Satisfactory performance reviews.
Physical Requirements
Exposure to hot environment – occasional 1–3 hours.
Exposure to cold environment – occasional 1–3 hours.
Standing – constant 5–8 hours.
Walking – constant 5–8 hours.
Grasping/finger movement & dexterity – constant 5–8 hours.
Bending – frequent 3–5 hours.
Twisting – frequent 3–5 hours.
Pivoting – frequent 3–5 hours.
Squatting/Kneeling – occasional 1–3 hours.
Lifting – frequent 3–5 hours up to 25 lbs.
Lifting – occasional 1–3 hours up to 50 lbs.

Register, phone, computer applications, calculator, scales, knives, slicers, dolphin, case cutters, marking guns, serving utensils, cooking equipment.
