Overview
Sales Associate role at Rack Room Shoes. Part-time position.
Adhere to and practice the company’s service standards with each customer. Meet both sales and work goals as directed by store management, while following the Policies and Procedures set by the Company. Lead other team members by example in the accuracy and completeness of your work. Present the store, its merchandise, and yourselves to the customer in the best possible light. Control cash and maintain accuracy of sales transactions. Process all sales and POS terminal transactions through the POS terminal in accordance with policy and procedure, and maintain strict control of all monies and sales documentation.
Responsibilities
Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness of service standards and a positive attitude.
Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives; stay aware of current sales promotions.
Maintain merchandise presentation, ensure stock is well arranged, and keep areas clean and organized.
Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
Be aware of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping/receiving, and merchandise placement as needed.
Process cashier transactions in accordance with policy; check shoes for mates during transactions.
Qualifications
Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and employees at all levels.
Basic verbal and non-verbal communication, organization, and math skills.
Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
Basic knowledge of store policies and procedures.
Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.
