Job Summary As a NAPA
Counter Sales associate , you serve as the face of the retail store and assist customers in finding automotive parts and solutions.
Responsibilities
Provide auto parts answers and solutions for our retail and wholesale customers in person or over the phone.
Use parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members in answering customer questions.
Deliver outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who enters our NAPA Store.
Bring customer focus and high energy to our fast‑paced stores.
Welcome retail customers into our stores and engage to provide a positive consumer experience.
Use technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system.
Ideal Candidate
Genuinely enjoy helping retail and wholesale customers with auto parts and service questions.
Have experience in the automotive industry or tinkering with/repairing cars & trucks.
Willing to learn all things automotive if lacking a background in auto parts.

Requirements
Valid Driver's License.
Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry or a willingness to learn all things auto parts.
High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses or degree a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Enjoy fast‑paced retail environments.
Great listening skills and empathy for customers.
Preferred Qualifications
Background or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership.
Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision.
Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems.
Customer‑centric focus (external/internal).
ASE certifications.
